Hi I'm Tony the Tiger and I'm GGrrreaTTTT!   I came into rescue because my former Mom had dementia and was no longer able to take care of me.  I had been with her since I was a pup.  I'm now in my senior years and am looking for a new home. 

 

I am a good boy who loves the company of people and most dogs.  I think short walks and rides in the car are GGrrreaTT! I am crate trained but do not really need to be in one while you are gone unless there is food on the counter.  I think food is GGrrreaTT!  I used to be over 100 pounds several years ago and this probably why I blew out my knee and did not help my hips.  My Mom did not have my knee fixed and now my left rear leg does not bend but it does not hamper my ability to walk and get around.  When I came into rescue, I stunk really bad and my doctor did an emergency dental as I had a severe infection in my mouth and seven teeth were pulled.  Now I have to wait for several months for the infection to leave my body before I can have my right hip looked at. 

 

I'm looking for a GGrrreaTT home to spend my senior years with someone who will care for me, take me for short walks and enjoy my company.  I will probably need some additional health needs addressed but  the GGrrreaaTT folks at ATRA will assist in my health expenses.  Are you the GGrrreaTT rescue person I'm looking for?
