Committees

ATRA has several large events or tasks that are organized and run by committees.  Committees are great ways to contribute your talents while getting to know some of our other supporters.  Look through the committees and descriptions below to see if something is of interest to you. Contact us if you would like to be involved.

Fundraising Committee

This is a very important committee for ATRA.  Considering the large geographical area that we serve, we always need to be on the lookout for unique ways to raise money.  To supplement our individual and adoption donations, ATRA holds two main auctions every year and markets Airedale related items through Annette’s Airelooms, our Airedale Shop.  There are several other smaller local events that contribute as well.  We are always on the lookout for new and unique ideas and talent.

Fall Aire Frolic

This is a newer ATRA auction that is normally held in Wisconsin.  Even though this event is relatively new by comparison, it attracts the same number of supporters and takes the same level of planning to pull it off.  Again, the committee members for this event are usually from Wisconsin, but volunteers are always welcome.

Publicity Committee

This is a support committee that helps by writing press releases and getting the word out for other committees or events.  They are also involved in things like newspaper ads or support material for volunteers who man tables or booths.  We are always looking for different ways to increase our visibility and raise awareness.

Volunteer Committee

This committee is responsible for updating our database.  It also pursues newspaper ads, mailings and any other ideas to recruit volunteers.

Other Tasks

There are a number of other smaller support tasks being done by single individuals.  If you have an idea of something you can do for ATRA, we would like to hear from you.

How do I sign up?

Go to the "ATRA Officers Link" and let them know how you would like to help.  They will be thrilled to hear from you and will help you get started volunteering for ATRA.
